Zetsurin Karate
Welcome to Zetsurin!
We are pleased to announce that this year we will be running an ASSISTANT INSTRUCTOR COURSE once more.
The course is FREE and open to students 13yrs+ and 3rd Kyu Brown belt and above.
It will run on
SUNDAYS AT 2pm AND WILL RUN FOR 2 HOURS FOR EACH OF THE 4 SESSIONS.
The dates are as below:
Sunday March 2nd
Sunday April 6th
Sunday May 4th
Sunday June 15th
The physical examinations of candidates will take place during lessons after the course has finished.
This is an opportunity for you to take part more fully in the life of our Dojo whilst at the same time improving your own karate skills.
Candidates who pass the course will be given a certificate and an assistant instructor badge to wear on the sleeve of their Gi

Attention Kobudo practitioners! due to the cancellation of the GB open in June, Sensei Kylie will be hosting a kobudo event at the Ichiban kata competition in meanwood on the 9th of february. If you want to compete, you will need either two short weapon katas, or two long weapon katas.

At lunchtime today a small (and very dedicated!) group of Senior Cadets/Adults were graded by Sensei Lewis.
We are pleased to announce that all candidates passed to the next Kyu as is evidenced by their wide smiles.
Special congratulations to Amy who gained her 3rd Kyu Brown belt- a definite milestone in her karate journey. Onward to that next bit of “sticky plastic”☺️
